Although I do try and avoid my extended family as much as possible, I still end up spending a lot of time with them. So no, I have spent a lot of time around the military (active and retired). In my family the lines are very stark. If you are in the military or you are a veteran you support the Iraq war. It is only if you don't fit into either of those two catagories that you oppose the war. Of course some non military types support the war.

Identify winnable objectives in the real world and I'm all for it. Wishing it won't make it so.
