I did for California seven years ago. (Damn, fuck.) I started about four weeks before the exam. I took the tapes to a local coffee house and listened to them while curled up on a nice soft easy chair for about 13 to 15 hours a day. After a week or so, the barristas got to know me, take pity on me, and give me the screwed up orders that they otherwise would have thrown away.* That environment actually made studying for the bar a rather pleasant experience. Not that I want to do it again.
I ended up buying a chair exactly like the one in the coffee house because it was so comfortable. I also gave the barristas several gift certifcates to Soundwaves, because I got sick of the dozen or so CDs that were kept in the coffe house very quickly.
*The orders that were made perfectly fine, but weren't what the person had ordered or were duplicates or had fat in the nonfat latte or whatever.
