I always want a seat, no matter how short the ride. (hmmm - is there a perverse way of reading that? probably.)
What I hate are those people who take the outside seat on the bus (in the two-seater configuration) and then act all pissy if you want the inside seat. I make it a point of asking for the inside seat when someone is doing that. Even if there are outer seats available.
