Lawyers dwell on small details.

Ha. That's rich. It says in the very first paragraph that the footage will be used for a documentary-style film. And they go on to say that they are hoping to reach a young adult audience by using entertaining content and formats. Verrry misleading. If you are mislead by that, you are either an idiot or you're too focused on the fact that you're going to be in a movie or both.

So, I guess you're looking for a waiver that says, "I agree that if I act like a dumbass I won't bring a lawsuit once everyone else realizes how much of an asshole I really am or once I realize how much money they've made off of the fact that I look like a dumbass."

I suspect the waiver you're looking for would spell out everything for everyone in huge block letters so that there would be no chance of misunderstandings or hurt feelings,* thus making the project impossible to undertake without the use of actors. Well, hey. We're back to your point about him not being able to make a film like this at all. Looky there.

*And I'm sure you would argue that the people who signed, without reading, the abundantly clear waiver that they too were duped and it shouldn't be allowed.
