help me.

Okay, twice this year we've been hit with a proposal for a marketing opportunity. For sort of big bucks we go to some place nice. There are also dozens of in-house attorneys that are looking for new outside firms. To be invited, and be at the nice place, they have to agree to interview X firms, and have to be seriously looking for help. I guess my first thought is the in house guys will be going through the motions, trying to get done with the required interviews so they can get to the golf course. OTOH there are some great potential clients that go- if they are serious it might be great.

Anyone hear ever heard anything pro/con about other's experiences at this type thing?
