After the attack on Pearl Harbor, I wonder how quicly the suqsequent dealth toll after the US delcared War matched the lives lost at Peal Harbor.

A month?

A week?

A day?

ten minutes?

2117 deaths at Pearll Harbor and WWII cost the United States around 300,000. So WWII cost 140 lives for every person killed at Pearl Harbor. In order for the War on Terror to reach the same ratio (at the current death rate) the war would have to continue at least another 550 years. It would also probably take another 500 years (if we continue the same rate we are spending money on the war) before the war on terror costs us the same percentage of our GNP that WWII did, and yet 9-11 killed more Americans than Pearl Habor did.
