Attila the Hun wasn't Hungarian. Hungarians are of central asian descent. They are not slavic.

ETA: I've checked wiki. Huns were not Hungarians, who were/are Magyars.

One widely accepted theory is that the Magyars migrated from Northern Europe, based on the linguistic similarities of Hungarian to Finnish. FWIW, the Wikipedia section sited below seems more mixed about the validity of this theory than Hungarians I met recently when I visited Budapest.
