I have no idea how tall my tree is. I walked in the woods, said "this looks about right," and started hacking. I also have no idea how tall my tree stand is rated. I will note that the tree is tied to a nearby bracket on the wall, just in case someone decides to run by too quickly. It's going down today. *sniff* I'll miss the colors and the sparkles.

I also note that I'm soaking wet, my kitchen is flooded, but thanks to the service guy at the manufacturer who walked me through the whole process, I have pulled out the defective pump from my washer/dryer and am well on my way to getting a new one. I think I"ll call the mom and pop appliance repair people down the street to install it when it gets here.

This makes up for the ceiling fan I installed incorrectly last week. Stupid white wire.

Can ya'll tell that this has been the week for home repair jobs? I was supposed to be simply directing service people to various tasks around the house. Yet somehow I've ended up on ladders and under washer/dryers.
