Sure, but Parcells had so totally fucked him in the head (which is why Mar-teen got the job) that, if he were still kicking, I might have guessed that Romo deliberately missed the snap because he figured that running it in would have been more likely to produce points.
The guys on ESPN said that there is a code word that holders are supposed shout when the snap gets muffed, so that the tight end releases his block and runs a pattern, and that Romo didn't call it.
