I hate the Cowboys. Hate them. Yet I felt bad for Romo. Awful way to end his season. If I were his friend, I would note for him that even if they had made the 3, there was enough time left for Seattle to take it down the field and win with a field goal.
The last 5 minutes of that game was completely bizarre. Strangest one in quite some time. I'm glad I had no vested interest in either of those teams.
I'm also glad the Giants are out (although the thought of no more Tiki Barber is a bit hard to take). Hopefully the last half of the season costs Coughlin his job. My main Giants buddy has vowed to boycott the Giants next season if Coughlin stays.
That said, I'm a huge Saints fan this week. We actually had idiotic Eagles fans singing some fight song by us at the sports bar yesterday. Who does that? It was not an Eagles bar, and they had Giants fans on three sides of them. I started hoping that we would win solely so that we could sing it back to them on their way out the door. They started in with the singing after the first touchdown, when they merely had tied the game.

Very brief thoughts on football -
So satisfying to see the Cowboys lose in such a spectacular fashion. As a Giants fan, I have to hate them. But I also hate them for being "America's Team", the team from somewhere else that the whole country is supposed to get behind. Maybe that's why I hate the Yankees too.
I'm torn about the Giants. I wish the team had won, but I am glad that Coughlin lost. I missed most of the game yesterday, but according to a friend they showed clips of Tiki getting in Coughlin's face and Shockey lifting up Coughlin's headset to give him an earful. My brother has been boycotting the Giants all year because of Coughlin.
I missed Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday (but have discovered that Canadian conference rooms tend to have really heavy insulating curtains at the windows), but did get back to the hotel room in time to catch the ESPN Classic re-airing of the OU Boise State game. Wow.
