I may have told this story before, but you must have been listening to the beat rather than reading the words........I remember the time I was representing a poor inner city adolesecent of colour from cabrini greene on a trumped charge. The kid was in lock up. I showed up at the South Side precint house at 2 AM or thereabouts and asked to see my client. Apparently there was some interogation residue on his face and body ("due to a police beating?!?!"
) and the coppers were not anxious for me to meet with him, so one of the officers pulled out his service revolver and politely invited me to "get the fuck out of there".
Is your post above meant to suggest that I could have neutralised his oppressively racist denial of my client's rights by simply explaining that this was America and there is constitution so I demand to see my client and he can love that or leave it?
