However, I have to say LV did not seem all that kid friendly. There are slot machines everywhere (impossible to avoid passing them), and then the guards (or whatever - some dudes in uniforms) get all pissy if a kid gets within 10 feet of one (not to play - even if the kid is just standing in the vicinity). I mean, they're at the airport, in hotel lobbies (I don't mean the casino), restaurants, etc. The locals did not seem particularly friendly.

I must not have been paying attention, seeing that I was winning so much.
