I am not sure that I have everything straight. I didn't think there was any sort of chilling effect or hostile climate caused by MR posting about his inclinations, just good-natured ribbing leading to his eventual nickname of Rimjob. Which has now been used so often (although he hasn't been around for years) that it's kind of lost its effect. If someone were to post about his/her poo fetish, that might lead to expressions of disgust and some kind of perjorative nickname, but life would go on. I always thought people were generally free to talk about whatever pleased them -- they just had to be willing to deal with it if something that pleases them is a little non-mainstream and they got made fun of for it.
If I have missed something along the way, please set me straight.
