I say no, don't do it, and not for any prudish reasons. It's the whole "dog returning to its vomit" thing--you just plain old don't want to be the vomit in this situation. Kind of related is the power thing. She had the power when she stepped out on you and dumped you, and now you can take some back by turning her down.
At least that's how it felt for me the couple of times it happened that way, back in the day.
