Seriously? I'm not sure I'd ever point it out. I mean, it's soup. It isn't like the extra 2 ounces they've thrown in costs enough to matter and I'm sure the containers cost the same. It is like pointing out that I ordered 2 tea bags in a Starbucks tea when they ring me up for the lower price. I assume that they know what they're doing when they ring up the smaller price and they are either trying to garner goodwill for a potential tip or they think it is stupid to charge for the second tea bag.
I've also worked in the service industry enough to know that the cashier doesn't care one bit about the small/regular soup discrepancy.
