I had lasik. for a few years it kept me correction free, then faded a little. I'm still happy I had it, even though I do have a slight correction.
2 things with the lasik; a decent percentage of people get "floaters", which are not cool to have. Floaters are little brown things floating in your field of vision. the docter's advice? your brain will learn to ignore them! this week I was actually able to tell my mom about what the spots she was just starting seeing at 70 were.
the other point is you need to choose between your own regular eye docter (assuming he does surgeries) and a lasik mill. I used my eye docter but would recommend a mill, particularly if you are anything other than a very low power nearsighted person, ANYTHING unusual in your case, a mill will have seen, but your eye docter who does surgeries one day a week might not.
