The Germans sinking those boats headed to its enemies was no different than Iraq targetting our jets pre-war. If one was an act of war they both were.
Maybe if we hadn't entered the war the Germans would have went easier on the Jews. We may have made the problem worse. AND we lost hundreds of thousands of our boys.
