They probably are biased, but as long as they are not using anonymous sources, and their facts are correct, does it matter? In addition, the average US consumer of energy is highly wasteful. It is not that hard to drastically reduce ones energy consumption if one is willing to spend the money. Just ask Mr. Lovens in Aspen. I think Al Gore can afford it.
What I am curious about is whether he has taken the steps that my parents took in the 1970s when this issue first came in vogue. 1) Solar Panels 2) Full insulation of the entire house 3) Double paned windows 4) a regrigerator with the engine on the top - most refrigerators use eighty percent of their energy cooling the heat from their own engine 5) atmoshpere sealed environment 6) no use of a clothes dryer 7) no use of a automatic dishwasher etc. etc. etc.
My parents reduced their energy consumption by seventy five percent in the seventies. Hell of if my parents could do it in the seventies (and I had to suffer through it) there is no reason Mr. Green can't make the sacrifice.
My guess is he hasn't. He probably has not done any of those things. But then again, I don't think Al Gore really cares about this stuff, I think he just see it as a route to the Presidency. Maybe I will be proved wrong.
(By the way, the Frists can have their house lit up like a Christmas tree everynight and not be hypocritical about this subject).
