Count me in among those who have seen it before. The original Gangs of New York. I'm not sure why Taxwonk hated it so much. A Beau Geste of modern life.
Not to change the topic at all, but what about the Wanderers? That movie is even more of a classic, right up to the point where it used to be run serially on A&E. And Ken Wahl's later short-lived series, Crime Story or whatever, was the Wire of its time.
