Airport Question

Yes, here is what the TSA web site says:
"Travelers may now carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
After clearing security, travelers can now bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area on-board aircraft.
At the checkpoint travelers will be asked to remove the zip-top bag of liquids and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items."
It's pretty clear, and I am not sure about what "real life" stories Ironweak is looking for. In my "real life" experiences, I have found that I have only been allowed to carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top bag. When they bother to check, there is no part of this rule that is unimportant. Quart-size bag. Clear. Zip-top. As JP notes, containers must be 3 oz. or less. If you fuck up on any of the above, you are buying a $14 mini-toothpaste at the magazine store when you pick up your People magazine for light in-flight reading, and your copies of The Economist and Harpers to pretend to read when trying to impress the cute chick across the aisle with your intellectual prowess. Which one you use is going to have to be a game time decision. Just remember, if she is a nouveux boho-type, and you go with Harpers, don't spend all your time reading the index, or you might as well have stuck with the People.
but "fit comfortably" seems ambiguous. and remember Weed is still sqeezing into those 33 waist Levis like he wore at college.
