I could go on and on if I were the type of person who remembered things. The only reason Tony approached being articulate on an oral level is that he was a good mimic , and spent time around some smart people -- Melfi, Hesh, even Carmela, and Meadow, who picked up all that earnest eloquence at Columbia.
The whole crew communicated on a barely acceptable level. If they were in fifth grade, their teachers would be correcting them constantly, assuming that had any time in btween teaching to the SOL exams.
Most people can speak more effectively than they can write. This may even hold true for some people on this board.

I can write more effectively than I do on this board. I am lazy on the board...mostly b/c I can be, which is refreshing.
I'm sure it frustrates dtb

I somtimes find myself sounding just like my father (also a lawyer) when I speak. I always thought that he spoke very deliberately when I was younger. Now I realize that, like most lawyers, he was just choosing his words very carefully. It's annoying (when either of us do it).
