Actually, I am the rare Sox fan who is indifferent about the Cubs (unless they are playing the Sox). Many (insecure) Sox fans hate the Cubs for socioeconomic reasons - most Cubs fans are north side yuppies, while Sox fans are more middle class (and occasionally white trash).
I don't hate the Cubs. They don't play in my team's league.
