They were too goofy when you were an angry young woman. Now you realize Mercury might have had the best voice of any rock singer in history.
ETA: I always feel odd driving around cranking "Keep Yourself Alive," like some Nelson Muntz-like kid will walk up and say "Queen? Old man... Ha ha!" Fuck it... It's a great song.
