When i lived in DC (alas Detroit has only a small Cambodian population) a friend started dating a recent cambodian immigrant. She had hardly any English skills. He had us over for dinner one night. since we couldn't talk to her much, eventually someone turned on the television- an elephant was walking through the jungle and she pops out "WE EAT THOSE!"* she said some parts taste like pork, some like beef and some like chicken.
*Her name was supposed to be Sue Bong Lay, so it is possible the entire thing was a put on.
