This leads me to a proposal that may go some way to resurrect this board. we have taken steps to make the board less hateful and more PC, and i think we all believe this is good.

Like we can't call you femmy anymore, because that might hurt you. Or better example, we can't make "fringey likes to eat" jokes anymore because they offend. We can't make "Taxwonk has man boobs" jokes because those hurt (plus he got skinny on the internet).

but still losing all those joke opportunities has hurt us.

so my proposal- let's identify strawmen for those jokes- like Thurgreed could be a fat guy with man boobs and take on all the fringey/taxwonk stuff. TMDiva can be the drunk. Notbob can get all the femmy jokes. none of that will hurt them, because they aren't really that- see?

i could take on the "stupid whiffing" stuff from nfh. you could take on the "old man musical taste" stuff from, i guess bilmore?

it will be better, a more vibrant community, but one that still cares for it's own?

I'm not really bothered by the jokes any more. I find that I tend to forget them as soon as they leave the screen.
