Are you talking about pain you get as a result of these activities (i.e., you are not sore the day after running 10 miles, but you are the day after climbing a flight of stairs), or while you are actually doing the activity. Because if the latter, the answer is easy. When you are climbing the stairs, you are sore from the running.
