I'm going to a small town parade tomorrow morning bright and early. Town's population is only 287 or so, but it's got a great town square and fun floats and a trail ride and old ladies selling pickles and stuff like that. So I'll eat, drink and be merry. And maybe set off some fireworks later on tomorrow night if it doesn't look like I'll burn anything down.
And the next day, I'll be back here, at work, wondering why the hell I didn't take the rest of the week off.

I'll be riding beach cruisers in the South Bay and cooking out with friends who live on Redondo Beach, then watching fireworks from their roof (unless all fireworks are suddenly banned in this area because of the record-breaking drought we're having) and passing out in their guest room.
Then Thursday I'll be gambling at Pechanga, trying to win some retirement money. And the rest of the long weekend/vacation I'll be doing my best impression of someone who has nothing that she has to do. That likely involves time spent lolling about Santa Monica and/or Venice.
Then Monday I will cry and then return to work.
