Now NY is very unpleasant in August, but not as bad as DC- BUT NY has that gritty dirty quality to the air in the summer which makes it as unpleasant, if not more so, than DC.

let's face it, NYC stinks out loud in the heat like today. meh. ugh. Just people don't wash, and the sidewalks stink like fermented trash and rotting crap and the usual bathroom smells.
