Challenger exploding -- 7th grade teacher cried in school -- I realize I am a cold person because I could not understand why people were upset. So a space shuttle blew up. Big deal. There are other astronauts. That's what I recall thinking at the time.
OJ Bronco Chase -- flying home from being abroad for a year wondering what the hell all the hoopla was
OJ Verdict -- working the bar at Chili's -- half the bar left in disgust immediately after the verdict
Diana crash -- I was at the Eiffel Tower at the time of the crash and learned of her death when I got an English newspaper on the plane the next day flying home
9/11 -- I was rushing to get to work, hungover. Mr. Kiss says, "ABBA you should check this out -- a plane just flew into the World Trade Center." I think I responded by kissing him on the cheek and saying, "I gotta go."

John Lennon shot - in my room doing homework
Reagan shot - no idea
Challenger crash - walking back to my dorm room from lunch so I could call my Dad and wish him a Happy Birthday before my next class
OJ Bronco chase - Montreal, checking a bus trip into their hotel. The desk clerk and I chuckled over silly Americans as we went over the paperwork.
OJ verdict - at work. They set up a TV in the main conference room. Most of us left in disgust immediately afterward.
Diana crash - at a golf course on the Cape. We had just pulled into the parking lot when the DJ broke in and made the announcement
9/11 - at work. I was more hungover than Abba, so I was very confused by all the people leaving the building as I arrived, and all the police around South Station.
