But if I were working on him I would say: I'm not an alcoholic, so I don't know, but I would imagine for alcoholics it's not "about the buzz." Your body becomes dependent on alcohol independent of the buzz. And an alcoholic's body needs what an alcoholic's body needs.
I might also say that there are levels of alcoholism. There is lying in the street, thrown my life away and there is need a drink in the morning to get through the day and there is really love alcohol and the buzz and drink way too often. I'm sure there are others, but just because you don't need a drink in the morning doesn't mean you are not an alcoholic.

What if I get excited after a run b/c I get to have a drink? I definintely look forward to a post-exercise drink. But, during the week, I rarely have more than 2. Or 12.
