For those outside the area, know that this is actually how rain is both collected and measured within the Los Angeles Basin. I, too, saw condensation on the ground this morning that instantly reminded me of rain from my childhood days.

Though no one actually saw rain fall, I believe that the official yearly rain totals have moved from 3 inches to 3.12 inches. This additional increment will allow one last iced water to be served at the Palm before the end of all water supplies and the inevitable breakout of hostilities between Southern and Northern California over water rights.
