He's not a hockey fan. Shocking for a Canadian, but true. But there are two breeds of Canadian boys, those who play hockey and those who ski/snowboard. Some do both, but it's rare. He's a skier, so he never took much interest in hockey. It's disappointing, but I can live with it.
And a Canadian would never, ever, ever, root for the Devils. Unless they happened to be on or related to someone on that team.
