I don't generally deal with CHIP or SCHIP, though I don't understand why expansion of the program is such a big deal to Republicans. It seems to my naive eye that healthy kids are something we should strive for, but who knows.
They've been kicking kids off the rolls here in Texas for a few years now, so this year actually was considered progressive when the legislature allocated more money to the program.
