The one thing I felt was wrong with my kids' schools was elementary teachers who tried to push meat eating as cruel. My daughter, in 1st grade, said to us "I might not eat meat anymore. Just think how many animals will suffer in my life if I don't stop soon." I'm pretty sure it came from her teacher.
The most active lib from my social circle is pissed that the HS provides the military with list of grads each year.
Here's the weird thing though, my kid's school is pretty enlightened, they have a gay/lesbian group as an example.
My sister send her kids to a school that is lily white, and w/o any homosexual club (I'm betting). She tells this story to us:
Her kid goes to an after prom party with her date. They are refused entry becasue the people holding the party think her date is gay- no fags allowed, she is told. Okay. Now my kids wouldn't want to be at a party with anyone who thought way, and wouldn't be friends with them. My sister's reaction was "He's not gay, he just has a lisp." Like the misidentification is the problem.
Point is there are still some very screwed up schools out there.
For that matter, even at our HS I hear there are all these white kids who consider themselves "white power" and walk around with Confederate belt buckles and shit. The black kids and the Jews are bad in their eyes I guess. i don't get why their parents live in a place where they have to go to school with blacks and Jews and with a Homosexual club. they should move out to where my sister lives.
