Non-adherents are not obliged to participate in either, I note, they are just supposed to sit quietly and not roll their eyes. And feel free to sip your coffee if necessary to keep your face from bashing into your presumably still empty plate.

Waiting through an unadvertised full mass for my grub would probably tick me off a bit.
