I do not think Bush, for example, is either a crook or a deviant, though I certaintly have plenty of doubts about his competance and judgment. But I keep seeing a lot of trees and am just wondering out loud how many trees are needed to make a forest. Until we figure that out, no harm in continuing to point out the trees. A lot of them seem to have interesting, twisted shapes.

Citing one party as more or less natively corrupt than another is ludicrous. But you do have a point that either party, given enough time in power, will become obscenely corrupt. And the GOP is that today. But as you said, that's a symptom of time and arrogance, not a native inclination. And that's a distinction missing in your first post. Perhaps it was implied and I missed it.
