Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica has become "the second-highest rated cable show after Sex and the City," according to TV Guide. As a result, MTV has renewed it for a second season that will start shooting in October, CNN reports. The current season ends Oct. 14. Meanwhile, Nick Lachey's record company "has decided to put [his new] album off until Nov. 11," in part because of the way the show "has made music fans take [Jessica] about as seriously as they do Anna Nicole Smith," The Daily News reports. But Jessica's father tells TV Guide that she "knows she's on camera" and "[s]ince she was a little girl, people have been calling her a dumb blonde, ... she begins to assume the role that everybody expects of her. That doesn't mean that's who she is."
Poor dad. Hard to admit you raised a spoiled clueless brat. On the plus side, she does have big jugs.
