Unless he is either into Aristotle or traveling around on foot, he's not using the word correctly. There is no expanding it to mean hectic social life, that just doesn't fit. I guess he could use it to mean traveling place to place, but why?
It sounds like he is trying to impress you and going beyond himself to do it. This is the danger of using "big" words. It is a great way to make an ass out of yourself. No one else knows what it means anyway most likely, and when they go look it up they will think, wow he's (a) a moron and (b) pretentious.
Anyway the trying to impress could either be charming or irritating, depends on the guy. Generally, I find it irritating when people try that hard.
This returns us to the whole would you fuck a stupid person, cause otherwise, kick him to the curb. He's stupid.
