You both need to realize that the expression of opinions is not necessarily a personal attack on you, your mother or your wife. And if you think that it always is, you need to examine why that is. That's all that I have to say about this. Just get on with your life and wait for the next time someone disagrees with a premise you hold true to get all worked up.
