Actually, it's about 800-900 (including utilities.) I love talking to New Yorkers about my present apartment as well as my soon to be new residence. You can practically hear them drooling.
I think it is very hard to conceal an inner office relationship. No one has managed to do so where I work, and it has never ever been pretty. And when it was an older guy with a much younger (and much lower on the totem pole), the boss was not amused and I have no doubt it had an impact on him being passed over for a promotion.
But I think if you are really into the guy you need to sit down and talk. Otherwise just end it.
And in response to Mr. never be the one to do the dumping, I think it is a hell of a lot worse to do the freeze out, force the other person to dump you thing. That's just cruel.
