That's what I always thought as well.
I personally never did the 3 button gig because the jackets dont' move as easily when unbuttoned, kinda like a double breasted jacket (not that I've ever ownd a db suit).
As to pleats, I like Hickeys because they fit me well, and they always come pleated. I wish they weren't, because I can't fill out the back of my pants. Its terrible to be assless in today's "roomy fit" world. The goddamn people at JCrew don't even carry slim fit pants anymore. If I wear relaxed fit pants, I look like some dumb white suburban kid tring to look like G.
