I figure the purchase prices are cheaper than our average rental prices, once you add in late fees (inevitable in our household). Therefore, if I really want to see them they are worth it, even before the "loan them to your friends" benefit.
BR(But I've got to get better cable and get the Horror Channel and a huge box of tapes - it will probably save me a fortune in the long run)C
edited to add that a few of the DVD's I pegged I haven't found available for rental.
