I've heard it said that every modern Klan meeting is half FBI agents who don't recognize each other, with another quarter split between undercover agents of the ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
For as dangerous as the Klan has been in American history, I cannot imagine how the FBI, ADL, and SPLC can find a steady stream of college graduates who are willing to ingratiate themselves with these hicks for months and years at a time, and how the real members don't spot them a mile away.
