I agree, then, that he is a "nebbish." But I blame it all on his disapproving and overbearing mom (who first suggested the rug on his head). What a manipulative and judgmental bitch. He is freaking out about his baldness and desperately seeking approval from everyone at the party because of his neurotic need for others to validate his existence and she looks right at his bald head and gives him a dirty look. His therapist must be making a fortune off him.
