Does anyone actually do this? Receive a gift and then do some research to determine the price and whether or not it was an original purchase? What the hell are you talking about?
She's giving it to a casual friend as, what sounds like, a small gift as thanks for being invited to the gathering. Fugee knows it's crap. The giftee will know it's crap, but might actually appreciate the gesture. If it's a throwaway gift, what is the big deal?
