These idiots have made life move at an annoyingly quick clip for no good reason.

So you hate them -- and want them to die of horrible disease? Aren't there more appropriate targets for such venom? Really -- chill out, man.

I'm not sure I see what's wrong with this -- I think people want to give their children the best opportunities they can do, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I know there are people who sort of see their children as extensions of themselves and therefore junior's accomplishments become their accomplishments -- and that's sad -- more for the kids than their parents. But the vast majority of parents just want to provide for their kids and want them to be happy because they love them. Simple as that. Most parents really just want their children to feel successful -- whatever that means to their children.

Life can't be controlled. The best you can do is make as damn good a libving you can and surf the waves and plan as reasonably as possible to make things work out and get ahead. This obsession with high fucntioning super-orgainzation has created a speed-freak society of uniniteresting people. They know nothing but consume, organize, consume, organize, achieve, achieve. At the end of the day, most of them don't even know why they're doing what they do anymore. Its sad. Fucking lemmings.

My kids go to school in one of the most privileged areas in the country (if not the world). I am one of a handful of working mothers in the ENTIRE SCHOOL. I know the kind of people you're talking about (and perhaps even, why it looks the way it does to you), but I really think you just don't get it.
I don't think I'm going to convince you, but perhaps one day, you will look back on your attitude and realize how silly it is. If you ever have kids, I certainly hope (for their sake, at least) you will realize it.
