I've had positive and negative experiences dating lawyers. I'm just very careful to try to leave the cross examining, over analyzing part in the office. If the other person is willing to do that too, we tend to be ok. If not, it doesn't last long.
I'm not really a normal lawyer though. Which leads me to the other point about being miserable. It isn't that I don't feel bad for people who are miserable in their jobs but I have little use for the whole, "I make too much money to quit," oh wah fucking wah children.
You made your bed. Lie in it or get the fuck up and find another one.
