Come on, TM, being at home with the kids really isn't heavy lifting the way posting on this board all day is?

I don't understand your point. I guess you're trying to say that she might be working as "hard" as I am? Well, being at home and watching your child grow and learn and play, etc. isn't exactly heavy lifting either. Sure she has to deal with a lot of shit (figuratively and literally). But I'm not trying to get into a contest here about who is working harder. I would rather be dealing with that shit than the shit I currently deal with. Understand?

Sad thing is, if you're looking to take a break and ignore the kids when you get home, it's going to show in the relationship between you and the kids. The part of life that women get more of than men that I miss most is that close relationship with the kids - they usually get to put more into that relationship, and so they usually get more out.

Take a break and ignore the kids? Wrong. I wish I had that option. My kid is usually fast asleep when I get home. I'm talking about taking a break, period. Decompressing. Having a beer. Relaxing. I'll get to whatever needs to be gotten to in half an hour.
