I know the literature on this topic and there are few well-designed studies on this topic. The studies that you refer to generally don't make any attempt to determine what level of conflict exists in a marriage.

Most of these studies are poorly designed and because of the poor design, the conclusion you draw from them is not supported.

Sooooo - cite please. Dated or otherwise. The reason I am asking you for a cite is to point out to you the flawed methodology these "studies" use. Many of them are conducted by groups who have a political agenda that they want the study to "prove" is right.
