Hmmmm. Melatonin release is triggered by darkness (and suppressed by light) and induces sleep.
Perhaps you meant melanin. However red/golden/brown/black that may make your skin, melanin does little to affect mood.
Perhaps you meant seratonin, which affects mood, and which some have postulated (although never proven) may be associated with sunlight exposure.
Or perhaps your head is up your know-nothing ass again and you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.
